I'm not sure about the advantages of C16, but I've seen some videos of an 1JZ in the USA, producing 869HP from a bone stock block! Just cams in it, and it hadn't blew up. After 5 runs, still 864HP.
A stock 1JZ on pump gas is able to handle under 700HP. Not sure if that was just the fuel or a fake dyno/stupid idiot who said "I want more power!", but that was really impressive!
we can also make more boost on normal 98 oct fuell, but that mapping is only for street use, so 909 bhp should be quite enough for that
The race fuell (VP racing C16) is 127 oct and has a lot of additives to keep valves etc cooler when using high boost.
and you can make a verry verry agressive mapping
E85 is only 104 or max 105 oct and is not even close to as agressive as race fuell.
So yes, it helps to make a little more power, but its also for safety and keeping things cool during racing.
will post some video's soon, only we cant do any mapping during the day, as the neighbours complained they cant talk to their custommers because of the noise haha, so we have to do it in the night when they are closed.
