  • Hello from Wiesbaden

Hello, I am new to the Wiesbaden area. I do not speak German, only English; however, I'm working through it with google translator lol... I own a 1990 Skyline GTR32 and can't wait to meet other members at meets or trips to the Nurbergring! I'm more active on the skylineowners.com forum but I feel there is a better chance of finding other skyline owners close to me on here so I will do my best with the language barrier.

Ah....Welcome and glad you made it on here Bryan, nice looking motor you have there.
The next step is to get yourself upto "owner" status" if you have a word with one of the mods on here I'm sure they'll help you out. If you check the skylne owners map you'll find out wich owners are in your area.
I take it you've been posted / stationed here or are you living / working here in Germany?

Yes, I have just been stationed here this spring, this is my second time living in Germany and second time owning a GTR32. Although this one I plan on taking back to the states with me under the 25 year rule when I return in 2015. I'll be sure to get with a mod asap, it will be nice to meet with more owners in the area. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Actual BHP and Torque I have no idea, I have not personally had it on a rolling road, although I would like to in the near future, just have to find a place around here that can run it. Hoping to have it on the dyno before end of the summer, I'm more concerned about the overall performance of the car in general though not just huge numbers. I prefer a really "quick" car over a really "fast" car, sure over here I can run it flat out on the autobahn but once I take it back to the states its all about the 0-120kph times. The company who imported it for me estimated it's running around 420bhp at .9 bar but there is always room for improvement, my personal goal is to have it around a reliable / drive-able 450bhp, much more than that is a bit unnecessary. I plan on making a trip up to the ring around 16-19 June, the guys from "The GTR Shop" in the UK will be down and I'd really like to meet up with them. Also I plan on joining the Moff Shop trip to the ring in September as well.

                      also a Welcome from Cologne,

nice to have You on board with such a stunning example of a "Blue Godzilla".

You should attend our Skymeet in July or meet with other owners in the Frankfurt-Manheim-Region as they have regular meetings.

What part from the States are You from ?

Take care of Your Baby and enjoy Germany and especially the German Autobahns with more than 65 MPH.....
the way I survived the US-Interstates without falling asleep with going no faster than 75 MPH with AirCon on very cold and Country Rock Music mostly Garth Brooks been played on every station through the whole nation.....LOL

I plan on attending as many meets as I can, when and where is the Skymeet? Is there a particular section where people post about the meets? My German is not so good so I've kinda been blindly navigating the site throughout the day. I am originally from the East Coast, more specifically Western Pennsylvania, a reasonable drive from New York City.

Hi and welcome to the forum Bryan! I am located in Frankfurt, so we could meet up one day and go for a beer and a chat if you want. We do meet up with other owners around Frankfurt from time to time. So if you feel like, you're welcome to join us. That spec list defo ain't short, so looks like you have a nice car there. I've been to the US base in Wiesbaden and Mainz quite often, so know where you are.
