Thank you very much for your feedback (and English message). I have spoken with Würtembergische and am waiting for an offer. I was actually offered a good price with LVM fur Vollkasko. I am looking through the terms and conditions now to ensure there isn't anything strange and will likely go with them (unless someone else can beat it).

G'day John,

with most insurances it is almost impossible to get a full coverage-Vollkasko unless you have been with the same insurance for a while and the car is not more than 10 years old. Part coverage-Teilkasko is no problem.
It may be that if you find an insurance with full coverage, you have to present an approved car value estimate with specifications.
Make sure that regarding your request for an estimate, that you can present your previous insurance docs for tariff recognition, if you have so far not insured a car in Germany.
Not to mention that your Australia driving license needs to be switched within 6 month after your arrival.
German insurances should recognize previous claim free years.
You can't do anything wrong with LVM.

Ich weis ist etwas spät aber könnte ja anderen noch helfen.

ich bin bei der DEVK mit eine R34 Sedan als 2. Auto angemeldet. Motor ist ein RB25DE Neo (ohne Turbo) mit 147KW.

Fahre inzwischen auf 70% mit Teilkasko 7 Monate für 630€.

Uff das ist aber teuer. Versuche den Wagen am besten über eine youngtimer Versicherung laufen zu lassen. Da hast du keine Prozente und zahlst ggf. deutlich weniger. Ich zb zahle bei der Würtembergischen für die Saison 4-10 250€ mit teilkasko 150sb

Inzwischen geht es ja auch bei occ aber da die damals so arschig waren und keine skyline versichern wollten, wechsle ich nicht mehr.
